Another successful Los Angeles Connection Event today! All of our candidates had a chance to meet the Heads of Schools at the School Showcase. We facilitated dozens of out-of-town candidates—it was a great way for them to demonstrate their commitment to relocating. Many thanks to our friends at Brentwood School for hosting us.

We had an energetic and productive Connection Event today. Our featured speaker Koko Archibong, an alumnus of Polytechnic School, and currently the Assistant Athletic Director at the school, was warmly welcomed as he shared his personal story of how he came to teaching. Koko, who played professional basketball and represented Nigeria in the 2012 Summer Olympics, also spoke about thriving in the independent school culture. Thank you to Polytechnic High School for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful campus.

CalWest is honored to co-sponsor a professional development opportunity with Online School for Girls and the Archer School for Girls. The course runs for 6 months and helps answer the question on how to create relationship-centered blended learning courses. The methodologies of online learning and blended learning are still relatively new to the K-12 classrooms and we invite any interested educators to register for the course.
For more information on the course and how to register, please go to the Events tab.
