Do you want to teach in a private or independent school, but just don't know how to make that jump? Cal/West Educators Placement is committed to helping create opportunities for novice educators to gain experience in appropriate positions in Independent and Private Schools throughout California and other western states. Typically, these are graduates of undergraduate programs in either education or specific subject areas who have excellent knowledge and skills, but limited classroom experience. In some cases they are graduates with a Masters degree or are in a credential program.

Bringing an associate, assistant, or intern into the school community (whichever term is used by the school) brings energy and vitality to the classroom and provides a growth path for faculty expansion and continuation. We encourage schools to consider the option of looking at new teachers and seeing if there is a good place for them within the school community. It's a win-win situation for all parties!
